Please join Dr. Asif Qadri, Safia Qadri, friends, neighbors, and community leaders for an afternoon Meet & Greet in support of Hamza Khan's campaign for Montgomery County Council.

A lifelong Montgomery County resident, Hamza Khan recently earned his Master's Degree in Democracy & Governance from Georgetown University, where he studied the decline of public trust in government, the effects of elite capture, and the growing influence of soft corruption on public institutions. He is running because he believes Montgomery County deserves a government that answers to its residents—not political insiders, entrenched interests, or well-connected special interests.

Hamza brings a proven record of advocacy and public service. He helped lead efforts supporting the Juvenile Restoration Act, advocated for protections for Ten Mile Creek, supported the Fight for $15 movement, worked alongside immigrant communities during the passage of Maryland's Trust Act, and has been a consistent advocate for individuals with disabilities and their families. Throughout his career, he has focused on bringing diverse stakeholders together to advance practical solutions rooted in fairness, accountability, and human dignity.

His campaign is built on a simple principle: government should be transparent, ethical, and responsive to the people it serves. Montgomery County's future depends upon restoring trust in public institutions, protecting taxpayer dollars, and ensuring that residents—not special interests—remain at the center of public decision-making.

This gathering will provide an opportunity to meet Hamza personally, hear about his vision for Montgomery County, and engage in an open conversation about

government accountability, public integrity, responsible growth, economic opportunity, environmental stewardship, and strengthening public confidence in local government.
